DEIF wins the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 in the ESG/sustainability category

DEIF has won the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2023 in the ESG/sustainability category!

At the grand and festive national final of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year, which was held in Copenhagen on the 23rd of November, DEIF took the award in the ESG category. Here, the focus is on companies with a minimum of 15% growth, where development and growth are based on documented ambitions and goals around the broad sustainability agenda.

On stage, the award was received by Christian Nielsen, Valdemar Foss and Julia Foss.

We are incredibly proud to be praised and recognized for the great work we do for sustainability – in our own operations and through our products and solutions. So, a big thank you to all employees for contributing to that development in many ways.

The jury writes in its justification for awarding the ESG award to DEIF:

"The jury had no doubts when the winners of the ESG category had to be found among the otherwise strong field of companies with both great ambitions and great results.

DEIF stood out in several areas. They have a basic philosophy that they WANT to make a difference and that they CAN make a difference, and that the desire to make a difference must be the basis for the long-term development of the company. And it doesn't stop here, because they have put action behind their words and created results that are not just beneficial for themselves, but for society and the world around them.

The jury has emphasized the concrete measures that have been taken to show that the company's values are more than decorative letters on a website. Among other things, the alternative energy sources, and that there is an ambitious goal of being CO2-neutral within a few years. The focus on CO2 reduction can be seen both in their own production and in what the products do for a better future.

The jury goes on to say: "DEIF involves everyone in the company in the way it approaches the world. No employee is in any doubt under which set of values DEIF operates. At the same time, they actively engage in the local community around them by e.g. supporting culture and sport.”
