With a DEIF retrofit solution, you get full access to the turbine’s operating data, and you can integrate the DEIF controllers with any SCADA system you want.

DEIF control retrofit solutions are suitable for all wind projects, whether you are building a new wind farm, using refurbished wind turbines, upgrading an existing site, or partially repowering assets.

A DEIF refurbished wind turbine offers improved performance at a lower price than a new asset: The CAPEX per MW is roughly half that of a new turbine.

Serviceability is key, but how do you get help if the turbine OEM goes out of business or shuts down support? With DEIF, you get continued support on your control solution from a solid partner.

DEIF solutions are well suited for individual turbines – and for managing entire wind farms efficiently using our Power Plant Controller software.

A DEIF retrofit controller is typically newer than the OEM controller and gives you improved performance and cybersecurity – and a very user friendly interface.

DEIF controllers can operate from -40 to +70 °C (-40 to 150 °F). All DEIF-labelled retrofit products come with a 2-year warranty that you can optionally expand to 5 years.

Refurbished turbines are often smaller than new ones, making them easier to transport and install on small wind farms in hard-to-reach locations, and on sites with turbine height restrictions.

Upgrading a turbine makes great sense from a climate perspective: No resources are used building a new turbine, and extended service life means more low-emission energy from the same asset.
